Panel 1: Kids sitting on a mat, the kid on the left on their hands and knees and smiling like he's about to pop up. They say, "We should make a birthday cake today!" The kid on the right sits with folded legs with a book in their arms listening. Panel 2: Text that says, "Cookie mix!" The kid on the left holds up a big bag resembling a flour sack with a chocolate chip cookie on it. The cookie has a bite out of it. Panel 3: Text that says, "Milk!" The kid on the right is hauling a bucket and spills a few drops of milk.Panel 4: Text that says, "Sugar Cube!" A hand pinches a sugar cube between thumb and forefinger. Panel 5: Kid on the left holding a squat bottle that has the text, "Magic Dust!" on it. Panel 6: Kid on the right holding a small creature above their head that looks like a blob with eyes, tiny legs, tiny ears, and a curly tail. Text above them that says, "Lil' Guy!"Panel 7: kid on the left sat on the upside down milk bucket helping hold the giant bowl as the kid on the right kneels over it stirring the contents with a giant spoon. Sugar cubes are scattered on the ground around them, the cookie mix bag lays upended nearby, the magic powder is open with a spoon stuck in it. Panel 8: the kid on the left is moving a giant plate over the bowl. The kid on the right is knelt looking up, keeping the bowl steady. The giant spoon is on the ground with some mix still left on it. Panel 9: The plate fits over the open bowl perfectly with a "clunk!"Panel 10: The kid on the left leans over the bowl and plate, gripping the edges in their hands. The kid on the right holds the spoon, looking down at the bowl and plate. Panel 11: The kid on the left extends their arms and spins the plate, with text that says "spin!!" The kid on the right leans back, smiling, to make space.Panel 12: The bowl spins quickly, drifting to the left. Panel 13: The bowl spins slightly slower, drifting to the right. Panel 14: The bowl starts to come to a stop steadying in the middle of the page.Panel 14: The kids stand over the bowl as it stops. The kid on the left is waving their hands up and down excitedly and saying, "go! go! go!" The kid on the right is holding the spoon and watching with a smile. Panel 15: The kid on the right says, "okay, okay, here's the hard part..." as they bend over to tip the bowl by lifting the bottom. The kid on the left kneels on the ground on the other side, cradling the bottom of the bowl and holding the plate closed over it with the other hand.Panel 16: The kid on the left takes a knee on the ground, pushing against the plate so it stays against the bowl. The kid on the right pushes the bowl so it's standing on it's side. Panel 17: The bowl falls upside-down so the plate is on the bottom with a "pamf!" The kid on the right's hand can be seen letting the bowl go as it falls.Panel 18: The two kids crouch on either side of the bowl and grip it's edge. Panel 19: The two kids grin, lifting the bowl above their heads, revealing a giant cream cake with strawberries and two layers. Text that says, "TA-DA!!"Panel 20: Speech bubble that says, "It's perfect!" Top down view of the birthday cake with icing that reads "Happy Birthday" in loopy handwriting. Panel 21: The kid on the left is smiling and says, "Now we just have to get some candles and sing you happy birthday!" The kid on the right is smiling. Panel 22: The kid on the right asks, "Isn't it your birthday?"Panel 23: The two kids stand over the cake, staring at it. Panel 24: The kid on the right puts a hand on the kid on the left's shoulder, smiling. The ants emerge from a small anthill in several lines. There are now lit candles on the cake and splotches of it fly off as the lil' guy springs out of it on a spring.
